When you pass through the waters
"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are Mine!
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
"For I am the LORD your God,"
Isaiah 43:1-3
I daily become more knowledgeable of the valleys through which creation must go. These of people that I know and of people that I have never met, all of whom I love and grieve to see their suffering.
When waters of affliction seems to drown a weary heart, when the rivers overwhelm in rapids of fear, when the fire of pain flames within a broken spirit, Christ is near. He is never absent from His children. All sovereignty and provision of suffering and gladness are in His hands. Christ has endured all things for the glory of the Father and for the good of His children. Hope, we have hope in Christ and that is great, great reason to rejoice! He provides peace and gives strength in the sovereign moment we need it. I want to proclaim this truth to you, friend, this truth found in the gospel of Christ Jesus. The gospel through which we are rescued. Know it and rejoice in it!
"For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him."
1 Thessalonians 5:9-10
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen."
Ephesians 3:14-21
